Join us for a day celebrating African American culture and contributions. Our featured speaker is Danielle McGuire, Wayne State Professor and author of "At the Dark End of the Street: Black Women, Rape and Resistance—A New History of the Civil Rights Movement from Rosa Parks to the Rise of Black Power," appearing from 1-2 p.m. Displays and table talks from local, state and national organizations will be available throughout the event. Co-sponsored by the Friends of the Lansing Libraries and the Historical Society of Greater Lansing.
