 Dr. Wilson is Professor of Microbiology in the School of Molecular and Cellular Biology, the Institute for Genomic Biology, and the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Wilson's research focuses on mechanisms of infectious disease and host-microbe interactions. She has served on advisory panels for the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, and the United States Department of Agriculture. Her talk will discuss genetically modified organisms and their impacts on food insecurity and the global food supply.
