 Musicians of the Central Oregon Symphony (COS) will appear at the Deschutes Public Library, Bend Branch, as part of the COSís Music in Public Places Series on Sunday, March 9th, 2008. The Cascade Chamber Players String Quartet will be featured will perform one hour of music starting at 2:00pm. The groupsí musicians are Chuck Hens and Nicole Mariman on violin, Lynn Hawkins on viola, and Amy Mitchell on cello. Repertoire may include Mozart, Bach, Handel, Haydn, and Vivaldi. The performance is free and no reservations are required. Some seating will be available for the public to sit and enjoy the music.

The Music in Public Places (MIPP) series brings chamber music to non-traditional venues, offering the public up-close-and-personal opportunities to discover and enjoy classical music. The March 9th concert, hosted by the Deschutes Public Library, is one of several anticipated MIPP events to be held this season. Other MIPP programs will be announced in upcoming months.
