 Few readers might choose to pick up a volume of Emily Dickinson’s poems on their own, wondering what relevance the words of a 19th century poet could have on readers in this 21st century. COCC professor Chris Rubio examines of some of the themes in Emily Dickinson’s poetry—nature, gardening, life, love, time, and death—for a new appreciation of the work of a poet who lived so long ago but who wrote on topics many of us regularly ponder in our lives today. Free and open to the public.
