Event Type: Adult Program Age Group(s): Adult, High School Age Date: 10/17/2013 Start Time: 6:00 PM End Time: 7:15 PM Description: Sometimes called the “curry of Mexico,” mole sauce has a reputation for being time consuming, labor intensive and requiring a plethora of ingredients. But it is possible to make it at home! In this presentation, part of Deschutes Public Library’s “Know Cultura” series of programs, Robin Martinez will give a history of the savory sauce while also showing participants how they can make their own mole. Mole has become a culinary symbol of Mexico’s mestizaje—people of mixed indigenous and European heritage.
