Poet William Stafford's deep commitment to peace infused his life-long work in poetry and his wartime decision to be a conscientious objector. His work stands in a long tradition of peace activism among poets. Beginning with selected poems by Stafford, participants will read and discuss the work of pacifist writers in the American poetic tradition.
