A Novel Idea: The Night Sky

Event Type: Adult Program
Age Group(s): Adult, All Ages
Date: 4/25/2014
Start Time: 8:00 PM
End Time: 10:00 PM
Description:
During his lonely nights, Hig spends time gazing at the stars and giving new names to constellations for which he has forgotten the original name. Join us at the Sunriver Observatory (57245 River Road, Sunriver) for a guide through the constellations and some of the mythology behind them. This is a two-hour program, starting inside the observatory. We’ll head outside in the second part of the program to look deep into the cosmos with our naked eyes and with telescopes. April nights can be very cold in Sunriver; please remember to bring warm clothes for outdoor viewing. Free.
