Event Type: Adult Program Age Group(s): Adult, High School Age Date: 9/23/2014 Start Time: 6:00 PM End Time: 7:00 PM Description: Here in Central Oregon, we have immediate access to the wilderness--whether it's by bike, car, ATV or foot. But few people are prepared for the challenge of being lost or hurt in the wilderness. Blake Miller is a search and rescue volunteer, amateur ham radio operator and retired Naval officer. Blake founded Outdoor Quest in 1998 and teaches land navigation (both compass/map and GPS applications) and wilderness survival. He'll bring his knowledge and skill to the Redmond Library in this free presentation as part of our "Know Wilderness" month.
