Downtown Bend: Operations Management and Structure

Event Type: Class
Age Group(s): Adult
Date: 4/1/2015
Start Time: 5:30 PM
End Time: 7:30 PM
Description:
Much of the attention, in starting a small business, is given to business planning, marketing and finance. But to insure success over the long run, owners and managers will need to give equal attention to managing the operation. This class will help you analyze your own strengths compared to those who have been successful in the past.

You will be able to evaluate your own chance for success by developing a definition of success and a management philosophy, learning the eight traits of a successful business manager and the five levels of leadership, and creating a skills checklist for an operations manager.

SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and helping small businesses start, grow, and succeed nationwide. They are a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and have been mentoring small business owners for more than forty years.
