 Frank T. Johns, carpenter and Portland native, ran twice for president with the Socialist Labor Party in 1924 and 1928. This lecture will set Johns’s personal biography against the wider drama of the Socialist movement in the 1920s, when Socialism was a viable political philosophy in the United States.
