Using letters exchanged while incarcerated during WWII, Oregon Nikkei Legacy Center museum collections volunteer Weston Nakamura-Koyama traces his family's journey from the Portland Assembly Center to Minidoka. This program is presented in partnership with Oregon Nikkei Endowment, the Japanese Association of Central Oregon and Densho: The Japanese American Legacy Project and commemorates the anniversary of the signing of Executive Order 9066, which relocated American citizens to internment camps during WWII.
