Geologic slide show and hands-on presentation about volcanoes in our western national parks. During this 50 minute presentation, geologist Marli Miller (University of Oregon) will first introduce volcanoes and volcanic processes in our national parks, followed by a 15 minute period where you will have the chance to compare some important volcanic rocks. During the final 15 minutes, she will compare and contrast features of Crater Lake and Mt. Rainier National Parks.

Marli Miller is a Senior Instructor II and researcher in the Deptment of Earth Sciences at the University of Oregon.
