How do you know when an essay or a story or a poem is finished? What about long-form projects? Dr. Emily Carr has said she "writes murder mysteries that turn into love poems that are sometimes ... called divorce poems." She has lived all over the world and is the author of several collections and chapbooks of poems. She earned an MFA in poetry from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington, and a doctorate in ecopoetics at the University of Calgary. She is the program director of the low-residency MFA in creative writing at Oregon State University-Cascades. *cr* Location: Brooks Room Contact: Liz Goodrich Contact Number: 541-312-1032 Presenter: Dr. Emily Carr |
