Library: Downtown Bend Public LibraryNovels are written before they are sold, but book length works of non-fiction are often sold to publishers by way of a book proposal. A book proposal explains to a publisher what the book will be about, who its audience will be and why you, the author, should be the one to write it. In this workshop taught by publisher and author Kim Cooper Findling, learn the nuts and bolts of putting together a professional book proposal that will wow an acquisitions editor and land you a book deal. Kim Cooper Findling is an editor with Oregon Media and the publisher of Dancing Moon Press. She is the author of Bend, Oregon Daycations: Day Trips for Curious Families, Day Trips From Portland: Getaway Ideas for the Local Traveler and Chance of Sun: An Oregon Memoir.
