She will also discuss how South Asian American literature has evolved in the United States and examine the contributions of writers from the West Coast to the literary world.
Library: Redmond Public LibraryNalini Iyer is Professor of English at Seattle University where she teaches postcolonial literatures from South Asia, Africa, and their diasporas. She is the co-author/co-editor of three books: Other Tongues: Rethinking the Language Debates in India (2009), Roots and Reflections: South Asians in the Pacific Northwest (2013), and Revisiting India’s Partition: New Essays in Memory, Culture, and Politics (2016).
