Library: Downtown Bend Public LibraryJoin us for the "Going Against the Grain" writing workshop with Pulitzer Prize-winning author Elizabeth Strout. Snacks and beverages are included with your ticket purchase. Ms. Strout will lead participants in a writing workshop focused on writing from another person’s point of view. Please note that this workshop is a fundraiser for the Deschutes Public Library Foundation; class size is limited to 36 and registration/ticket purchase is required. Strout is the author of the 2009 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel "Olive Kitteridge," which has sold over a million copies and was adapted into an Emmy Award-winning mini-series. Strout's most recent novel, "Anything is Possible," returns to the fictional rural town of Amgash, Illinois, the protagonist's hometown in Strout's 2016 novel "My Name Is Lucy Barton." Author! Author! is the Deschutes Public Library Foundation's visiting author literary series. Author! Author! brings our country's top authors to Bend for a lively discussion of the author's current works, literature and writing process.
