Library: Sisters Public LibraryThis 2-3 hour workshop will be an introduction for those who would like to write feature pieces and pitch to magazine publications. The workshop, led by local writer Kimberly Bowker, will offer an understanding of what a good magazine piece entails, how to employ writing techniques, and what is needed for a strong structure. She'll cover Information and tidbits gathered as a local freelance writer. Kimberly Bowker is a narrative journalist who loves to explore stories of the heart and how our lives intertwine. Growing up in Central Oregon, she served at The Bulletin newspaper, and appreciates how writing can strengthen our community. Her work has appeared in local publications and sources such as 1859 Magazine, CraftBeer.com, Fodor’s Travel, and Travel Oregon.
