A monthly spoken word open mic night every second Wednesday.Library: Downtown Bend Public Library Find the Downtown Bend Public Library
Join us at The Commons, formerly known as Crows Feet Commons Cafe, for a monthly spoken word open mic night every second Wednesday of the month. All writers and readers and word-lovers invited to attend and read.
Jason Graham of MOWO has graciously agreed to help facilitate and host this event, though guest presenters may step in from time to time. Poetry, storytelling, jokes, and everything in between are all welcome. Please be mindful of the audience, as this is an all-ages venue.
Schedule each month looks like this:
5pm sign ups begin. Each reader is allowed five minutes at the mic. If a readers needs more than five minutes to read or perform a piece, readers may sign up for multiple slots back to back.
5pm - 6pm "Word Shop Time" meet with others, work your pieces, compare notes. Occasional guest speakers will take over the mic at the end of the night.
Check out the Facebook page for details. Register in advance if you'd like to secure your spot, or just show up and step up.
