Explore the complexities of the women’s liberation movement in the 1970s -a period marked by both the Battle of the Sexes and the defeat of the Equal Rights Amendment -and what it meant for the feminist movement and women today.
Presented by Dr. Michelle Seiler-Godfrey of the High Desert Museum.

Michelle Seiler-Godfrey has a Ph.D. in History from the University of Iowa. Her dissertation explored late medieval English towns, and her areas of focus included legal and gender history. Michelle has previously taught at Austin Community College and the University of Iowa. She is currently the Program Development Manager at the High Desert Museum.
