Kimberly Jensen highlights key developments in the history of the ratification of the 19th Amendment. Kim will also explore the challenges to voting rights in Oregon and the nation from the time of the woman's suffrage movement to our own day, with suggestions for work we can all do to achieve voting equity in our state and nation.

Kimberly Jensen is Professor of History and Gender Studies at Western Oregon University in Monmouth, Oregon. She is the author of Mobilizing Minerva: American Women in the First World War (University of Illinois Press, 2008) and Oregon's Doctor to the World: Esther Pohl Lovejoy and a Life in Activism (University of Washington, 2012). She is a board member of the Oregon Women's History Consortium.
