Oregon Strawberry season is here! Strawberry freezer jam is a quick and easy way to enjoy summer’s wonderful fruit year round. All you need is just a few basic tools, ripe summer fruit, pectin and sugar. This video will show you how to turn your Farmer’s Market finds or your backyard bounty, into a fresh tasting jam that is terrific on toast, as a PB&J, or over ice cream. Once you taste this homemade treat you will never go back to store bought.

Ahja King is an educator, entrepreneur, gardener, reader, wife and mother of three amazing women. Growing up near the Salinas Valley in California, my mom taught me how to grow, gleen, harvest and preserve as much food as we could. Freezer jams and jellies were my favorite to make and eat. I am going to show you how you can take the rich bounty that is Oregon and make delicious treats for your family and friends. Freezer jam is a way to preserve fruit that doesn’t require high heat and long cooking times so it’s a perfect cooking project to enjoy with kids.
