Event Type: Tween Program Age Group(s): Middle School Age Date: 8/26/2020 Start Time: 10:00 AM Description: Used pressed plants to make a beautiful bookmark.
Library: All BranchesWe'll look at two different methods: (1) ironing wax paper and (2) no-iron contact paper. Supplies you'll need for both methods: *Pressed natural items, such as flowers, leaves or grass. Take the items and put them between the pages of a book, or under a stack of books to flatten them. Let them remain there at least overnight. For the ironing version: *Iron (as in for clothing) *Wax paper in two sheets, a little bigger than the bookmark you'd like to make *Heavy paper, or a couple of sheets of lightweight paper *Scissors For the non-iron version: *Clear contact paper a little bigger than the bookmark you'd like to make *Scissors Optional: *Hole Punch *Ribbon or string *oo* Contact: Josie Hanneman Presenter: Josie Hanneman Link: For this tween program, and more, click here! |
