If you want to sip along, purchase 1-4 beers, from the four beer styles in this list, put together by Jon Abernathy:

BEER LIST:
Hazy IPA (also called New England IPA, and can include Milkshake IPA)
1. Sunriver Brewing makes excellent hazy IPAs, though I don't know what specifically is on the shelves right now; anything labeled as such is a great choice
2. Boss Rambler Beer Club brews a number of hazies very much to the new style; the Sea Dodge IPA can be ordered from their website, and others are on tap at their taproom
3. Deschutes Brewery's Fresh Haze Hazy IPA is approachable and a good choice too.
4. Any other Hazy IPA in this category would be fine, depending on what's available.

Sour beers -particularly the "kettle sour" style that is soured with lactobacillus
1. Bend Brewing Company's Ching Ching is a great starting beer in this category that includes fruit
2. Wild Ride Brewing has their line of Tarty to the Party sours, also with fruit
3. 10 Barrel's Crush series are all sours and offer some variety
4. Immersion Brewing has a sour called Sexy Girlfriend as well

Pilsner and other craft lagers
1. Crux Pilz from Crux Fermentation Project is a terrific example of these new(er) American craft lagers
2. Worthy Brewing has Sol Power Pilsner which is another nice one
3. Three Creeks Brewing Tres Arroyos Mexican Lager
4. Cascade Lakes Brewing High Desert Lotus Pils

Porter - going back to a classic style
1. Deschutes' Black Butte Porter is a style benchmark and definitely a great choice
2. Three Creeks' FivePine Chocolate Porter is excellent as well
3. Wild Ride's Nut Crusher Peanut Butter Porter is fun for a flavorful twist
4. Any other porter or even another dark style like stout is fine and I can answer questions about.
