Learn about the activism and work that led to the passing of SB 13, also known as Tribal History/Shared History with Angie Morrill. In 2017, the Oregon Legislature enacted Senate Bill (SB) 13, now known as Tribal History/Shared History. This law directs the Oregon Department of Education (ODE) to create K-12 Native American Curriculum for inclusion in Oregon public schools and provide professional development to educators. She will discuss the work towards implementation in Portland Public School district and in districts across the state, as well as the importance of Native American Curriculum for all students.

Angie Morrill (Klamath Tribes) is the Director of Indian Education for Portland Public Schools. She earned her doctorate from the University of California, San Diego in Ethnic Studies, her dissertation, "Towards a Native Feminist Reading Methodology" examines Native feminist methodologies. She is a member of Super Futures Haunt Qollective, an art collective focusing on relationships between haunting and settler colonialism.
