Conspiracy theories are part of our past and our present. What can we learn from history that applies today?

Historian Kathryn Olmsted will discuss the power of conspiracy theories in U.S. history and the role they play in American politics today.

Kathryn Olmsted is a professor of history at the University of California, Davis, and the author of Real Enemies: Conspiracy Theories and American Democracy, World War I to 9/11 (Oxford University Press). She has researched and written extensively about conspiracy theories in U.S. history.
