Central Oregon has a long history with forestry. Rebecca Franklin, Program Director of Forest Resources Technology in the Natural & Industrial Resources Department at Central Oregon Community College will share:

* How foresters and forest ecologists work together with timber managers
* An exploration of the types of trees in our local forests
* Using tree rings to investigate history
* How to identify and locate old growth Ponderosas and junipers in Central Oregon

Dr. Rebecca Franklin is an Assistant Professor & the Forest Resources Program Director at Central Oregon Community College. Trained in dendrochronology & forestry methods, Dr. Franklin has devoted years to teaching others going into the wonderful field of forestry.
