This is an in-person program. Registration is required. Masks are recommended at all in-person library events.

Create a work of art through food in this exciting Japanese Bento (lunch box) creation class. Learn some easy, healthy, and creative ways to spice up your lunch box! Learn about the history of Bento boxes and how they have evolved along the way. Not only will you leave with a delicious bento, but you will also learn some fun tricks to making lunches fun and nutritious.

Potential Food Allergy: there could be a chance of peanuts and shellfish.

Ami Zepnewski was born in Tokyo, Japan, and grew up abroad and in the U.S. She has been a Japanese teacher in Bend for over 20 years, sharing her love of Japanese culture and food with students, families, and the community.
