Description:
Take a photographic journey through Spain with Hilloah Rorh.

Let’s explore Spain! First, we will travel south to Andalucía. Full of the many lovely artistic gifts left by the Moors, this area is rich in history. We begin along the Mediterranean coastline, and then we venture up to lovely Ronda and its surrounding mountains. Lastly, the majestic Alhambra in Granada, said to be the most beautiful structure in all of Europe, is the pinnacle of any visit.

The second part takes us up to the Picos de Europa on the northern coast of Asturias, an entirely different world of majestic world just off the Atlantic Ocean. After immersing in Frank Gehry’s Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, which is not to be missed, we will venture on to the impressive Pyrenees Mountains along the Franco-Spanish border, including Ordesa and Posets/Maladeta Parque Nacional.

Lastly, what is a visit to Spain without exploring their world-class wine regions of Rioja and Duero? Here we will explore the landscape and the deep history of one of the biggest and most popular wine regions in the world. To end the trip we visit Madrid! In the center of Spain, Madrid is a lovely, culturally rich, very walkable and diverse city with something for everyone.

Hilloah Rohr, M.S.Hilloah was raised in Seattle and started exploring the mountains at a very early age with the influence of her skier/mountaineer/alpine adventurer father. As an adult, with her career path in Exercise Physiology, she later created a 'semi-retirement’ business guiding small groups into the lesser trodden parts of the European Alps for over 20 years. Now fully retired, Hilloah continues to explore new regions and culture yearly. Since Covid, she has explored Morocco, Portugal, Spain and this year the French Pyrenees. Always an advocate of diving into the culture as well as the land, her photography transports one into the deeper recesses of European culture within the pristine villages of the mountains and valleys.
