Have you ever wanted to dip a toe in the theatre world? Join us as we read Thorton Wilder's Our Town, a three-act play set in the 1930s town of Grover's Corners. We’ll take on characters from the play and read the script together. Beginners welcome in this low-stress theatre environment.

About Gloria HedigoThis Reader's Theatre will be faciliated by seasoned veteran of theatre and local Bend resident, Gloria Hedigo. Gloria is not only a lover of books, libraries and local book stores, but she is also an actor who enjoys reading and attempting to write scripts, performing, and really all things with words and conversation...maybe that’s because she is a retired speech-language pathologist. Glo is currently on the Cascades Theatrical Company's (CTC) Board of Governors. Cascades Theatrical Company is Central Oregon’s oldest community theatre and Glo has led their Reader's Theatres for several years. She has been seen on stage at CTC in The Philidephia Story and A Gift to Remember. She can also be seen in local commercials and as a Greeter in CTC's newly refurbished Lobby where she always encourages theatre lovers to become members of CTC to support future productions and classes. She is extremely honored to represent Cascade Theatrical Company’s Readers Theater with Deschutes Library's A Novel Idea...Read Together.
