Description:
Senator Bernie Sanders made waves when he proposed "tuition-free" college during the 2016 Democratic primaries and that it could be based on models from other countries. Dr. Tyler D. Parry (CSUF) argues that the US already has a historical example of successful tuition-free universities, namely by Black Americans in South Carolina during Reconstruction (1868-1874).

Fullerton Public Library is proud to present Town & Gown, an academic lecture series led by professors from local colleges and universities on a variety of popular and educational topics.
