Ciné-Monde: Global cinema at the Peninsula Center Library Rolling Hills Estates, CA –Join us for PVLD’s Ciné-Monde, a film series featuring notable films from around the globe. Our next film screening will be CARAMEL at 5:30pm, Thursday, April 10 in the Peninsula Center Library Community Room. This event is free and open to the public. Following the film, there may be a brief discussion facilitated by the coordinator of the series. CARAMEL: Actress turned director Nadine Labaki's first movie CARAMEL is set in the rarely seen on film world of Beirut, Lebanon. This charming romantic comedy follows a group of women in Beirut as they face various trials and tribulations related to the romantic, the personal and the business. Labaki also stars and infuses with the film with enough characters to keep the story buzzing along in equal parts humorous and serious. CARAMEL will screen on April 10 at 5:30 PM in the Peninsula Center community room is rated PG, has a running time of 95 minutes and will be in Arabic and French with English subtitles.
