Ciné-Monde: Global cinema at the Peninsula Center Library Rolling Hills Estates, CA –Join us for PVLD’s Ciné-Monde, a film series featuring notable films from around the globe. Our next film screening will be THE LUNCHBOX at 5:30 PM, Thursday, August 14 in the Peninsula Center Library Community Room. This event is free and open to the public. Following the film, there may be a brief discussion facilitated by the coordinator of the series. The 2013 Indian film THE LUNCHBOX takes the simple premise of what would happen if the famed meal delivery system in Mumbai made a rare error, could a bond between two strangers be created through the unexpected twin pleasures of food and a handwritten letter? Despite its non-Bollywood style [no elaborate song and dance numbers], THE LUNCHBOX was a huge hit in India and with audiences around the world with its romantic message that is also chock full of great looking Indian food. THE LUNCHBOX will screen on August 14 at 5:30 PM in the Peninsula Center library community room, is rated PG, has a running time of 104 minutes and will be in Hindi and English with English subtitles.
