Important Messages and Upcoming Events
Sign up for the Rockland Public Library 2014 Summer Reading Program today! The program runs from June 21 - August 16 but you can click, "Sign Me Up," to register online and begin logging your books starting June 1.

What can YOU do with a old soda bottle? Take pictures of your recycled soda bottle project and send them to us at rocklandcwc@gmail.com or drop them off to Jean Young or Janet Corcoran, at the Rockland Public Library.

Saturday, July 26 at 11:00AM: Creativity Science Trunk
This trunk includes simple activities, with everyday items, to inspire the creative side of our brains. Activities include: Exploring Sound, Exploring Art and Exploring Paper.


Thursday, August 7 at 11:00AM: Homeschoolers of Maine will present a worshop for parents: Getting Started in Homeschooling (Children may attend)



Saturday, August 9 at 11:00AM: Cornerstones of Science Trunk opens! Butterflies and Bugs!
This marks the beginning of our search for the Monarch Butterfly Chrysalis. We will host a few in the Children's Room. care for them, then release them in the Children's Garden.(ongoing through September)


Saturday, August 16 at 11:00AM: Summer Reading Celebration Party
We will wrap up the Summer Reading Program with prizes, certificates, "art day" activities, and of course, make-your-own Ice Cream Sundaes.
