"Mushroaming" with Daniel Winkler

Description:
 Daniel will present his stunning pictures of choice Pacific Northwest edible mushrooms and some images of their toxic look-alikes. He will divulge information on the mushrooms' favorite hide-outs, their fruiting time and the best ways to enjoy them. Lots of scientific information is woven into mushroom lore and offered in digestible bites. In addition, Daniel will include some photos and stories from his ethno-mycological research in Tibet and from his mushroaming travels in the Amazon, Colombia and the European Alps. Funded by the Friends of the Monroe Library.
