Event Type: Young Adult Program Date: 9/17/2019 Start Time: 6:30 PM End Time: 8:00 PM Description: The hunt for the perfect college and career can be stressful. Recent brain science has taught us that positive mental health and effective social and emotional skills are key to success in both academics and life. Participants will learn how emotions such as anxiety and sadness are important and why managing them is important for success. Discussed will be various strategies students and parents can use to build resilience as well as psychological tools to prepare for a successful college admissions process and, ultimately, a successful college experience. This program is for teens grades 9 - 12 and their parents/caregivers.
