Achilles, the “best of all the Greeks,” is strong, swift and beautiful. Achilles forges an inseparable bond with Patroclus, and together the cruel Fates will test them both. This rendering of the Trojan War is a “dazzling feat of the imagination, a devastating love story, and a battle between gods and kings, peace and glory, immortal fame and the human heart.”
Somers Library-sponsored book group is led by Diana Cunningham, Librarian, who selects the books to be discussed, chosen in consultation with Tara Ferretti, Head of Public Services, with feedback and suggestions from the group.
