(In House) Responding to Opioid Overdose - Naloxone (Narcan) Training

Event Type: Adult Program
Date: 9/15/2022
Start Time: 7:00 PM
End Time: 8:00 PM
Description:
Naloxone (Brand name Narcan) is an intranasal medication that can be used to reverse opioid overdose. Last year in the US, there were nearly 108,000 opioid overdose deaths, many of which were caused by powerful synthetic opioids like Fentanyl. These statistics represent a vast increase in overdose deaths from previous years. Using naloxone and other evidence based prevention and harm reduction strategies, we as a community can help reduce overdose deaths.
This FREE training will teach you how to recognize opioid overdose, and how to administer naloxone. All participants will receive a free opioid overdose rescue kit including naloxone.
