A close friend of Charles Dickens, Collins was one of the best known and loved Victorian writers. “The Woman in White” is the first and most influential of the Victorian Gothic horror novels, including sinister intrigue, questions of identity and insanity, Victorian psychology and the Victorian social scene. Somers Library Classic Book Group discusses classic titles recommended by the group, identified by surveys, and facilitated by Diana Cunningham, Librarian. Group meets on Monday nights, bimonthly. This will be a hybrid (in-person/Zoom) meeting. Meetings are open to all interested Somers residents. Copies of the current title to be discussed are available at the circulation desk. Join us!
