Picturing Loss: Art and Bereavement with Joyce Raimondo and the Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center Joyce Raimondo leads an informal presentation about how she and famous artists express grief through painting. A discussion of Lee Krasner’s painting following Jackson Pollock's untimely death is discussed along with artists Edvard Munch, Pablo Picasso, Frida Kahlo, and others. Each artwork serves as a springboard for discussion about the grieving process and participation is welcomed. This special workshop is inspired by Joyce’s loss of her brother as a teenager and the discovery of an enormous strength she found through art. Participants are welcome to share or observe. Presenter Joyce Raimondo is author of seven children's art books, including The Museum of Modern Art’s popular Art Safari series and the award winning Art Explorers books.
