There he encounters Evelyn Skinner, a middle aged art historian, who has come to Italy to salvage paintings from the ruins. Together they find a kindred spirit and set off on a course of events that shapes Ulysses’ for the next 40 years. Story is described as “a sweeping portrait of unforgettable individuals who come together across 40 years of love, war, art and the Tuscan sun.” This Library-sponsored book group is led by Diana Cunningham, Librarian, who selects the books to be discussed, chosen in consultation with Tara Ferretti, Head of Public Services, with feedback and suggestions from the group.
