 Explore the story of a ballet dancer who overcame tremendous odds to achieve his dreams. FROM THE STREETS TO THE STAGE: THE JOURNEY OF FREDRICK DAVIS presents the powerful life story of Fredrick Davis, who, as a child, overcame poverty and homelessness to make his dreams of becoming a dancer a reality. Fred's story illustrates both the impact of the arts on the lives of young people and a community's drive to provide opportunity and support for its most vulnerable citizens. Fred is a world class ballet dancer. He was a premier dancer with the Dance Theater of Harlem, and tours the country dancing with other notable ballet companies.
