Robot Programming Workshop Program a LEGO MINDSTORMS robot! Saturday, May 6th from 12-2:00 pm (Program Rm) & Saturday, May 13th from 12-1:30 pm (Conference Rm) Do you want to build a robot and program it to do what you want? Join us at the Somers Library for a robot programming workshop. You’ll learn how to build and program LEGO robots to do things such as: Follow you around a room Balance itself on two wheels Follow a line & much more! IMPORTANT: Please bring your own laptop to the library to use for this program. If you do not have a laptop, the library can supply up to 6 laptops for patron use, but you MUST let us know in advance if you will need to borrow a library laptop for this class. System Specifications— For the best class experience, it would be best if your laptop met or exceeded these guidelines, which apply for both Mac & Windows systems: at least 2GB of free hard drive space, at least 4GB of RAM, ability to connect to a Wi-Fi network& Bluetooth capability (recommended). Software—You can download the MINDSTORMS software at: https://www.lego.com/en-us/mindstorms/downloads/download-software. It would be helpful if you could install it on your computer before you come for the workshop. This program will be presented by Nitin Seshadri, a Somers Middle School student who is the creator of the website Mathematica, an online game to help students with algebra.
