Note Taking and Studying Effectively: Students Grades 6-12 & their Parents

Thursday, October 12 from 7:30 pm - 9 pm.

As schools across the nation race to raise academic standards, sometimes basic skills get lost in the shuffle. In this workshop, master teacher and President of Crimson Coaching™, an elite tutoring firm serving Westchester County and the New York City metropolitan area, Dr. Dominique Padurano teaches students a variety of techniques for note taking and studying, two skills essential for secondary school success but often not taught explicitly. She also guides parents through how to effectively monitor and assist their children at home as they experiment with these new strategies. Students must be accompanied by a parent and should bring a pen or pencil and a notebook.
