Simone Elkeles, award winning teen author of the “Perfect Chemistry”, “Leaving Paradise” and “How to Ruin” series, will introduce her newest series “Wild Cards.” Elkeles’ funny way of looking at the world shines through in her books. The New York Times and USA Today bestselling author captures her readers with her sarcastic wit, edgy characters and exhilarating drama! Simone, who as a teen didn’t enjoy reading and hated English class, has won the Romance Writers of America award for Best Young Adult Romance for “Perfect Chemistry”, and was named 2008 Author of the Year by the Illinois Association of Teachers of English.
Laura Nowlin will introduce her debut novel, "If He Had Been With Me." She holds a B.A. in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing from Missouri State University. In addition to being ambitious writer Laura is also an avid reader who believes that books allow her to live many lives in one lifetime. When she isn’t at home agonizing over her own novels Laura works at the public library where the patrons give her plenty of inspiration for her writing. She lives in St. Louis with her musician husband, neurotic dog, and psychotic cat.
