 Work-family conflict is a crisis in the United States. Out of all Western industrialized countries, the United States ranks dead last for supportive work-family policies. In her book, Making Motherhood Work, sociologist Caitlyn Collins explores how women in specific countries and the United States navigate their professional and family lives given the different work-family policies available. Collins will discuss just how crucial government policies and cultural support are to ensuring “work-family justice."
