Vernon Area Public Library District
with Suzanne Slade and Allan Woodrow Two children's writers, Susanne Slade and Allan Woodrow, will lead a discussion and answer your questions about writing, getting published, and surviving NaNoWriMo without smashing your computer into tiny pieces. Allan is participating in NaNoWriMo himself, and is looking forward to sharing his frustrations and breakthroughs with you. Please bring the first page of your manuscript to share. Time permitting, first pages will be read and critiqued. NaNoWriMo (www.nanowrimo.org) is an annual novel writing project that brings together professional and amateur writers from all over the world. We'll provide interested writers with time, space, camaraderie, pep talks, expertise... plus refreshments! This fiction-writing extravaganza encourages writers to create a novel in 30 days – all for the fun of it. All aspiring authors from grade 3 through adult are welcome. This event is free and open to all. Registration is required. Register online here, by telephone at 224-543-1485, or at any public service desk in the library.
