Author Dav Pilkey will be here to sign his new book, "Captain Underpants and the Terrifying Return of Tippy Tinkletrousers" (ages 7 and up, released August 28).

Families will gather in the library's Meeting Room to watch a short film about Dav and his world of zany characters. Then, contribute your creativity and talent and make a page for the Incredible Scrapbook of Awesomeness that we will be presenting to Dav as a gift. We will escort one small group at a time from the Meeting Room to the book signing area where you will meet and chat with Dav himself! Choose from three movie and craft times: 6 pm, 6:45pm, or 7:30pm.

Tickets are required. Ticket price of $10 includes one copy of "Captain Underpants and the Terrifying Return of Tippy Tinkletrousers" and family admission. (A "family" is up to two parents and the children in their immediate family only. If you intend to bring the neighbor kids with you, please buy them their own family ticket, too. Plus, then, they get their own copy of the book. They're going to want one, after all.)
