Library: Downtown Bend Public LibraryCommunity Conversations invites you to bring your voice to the table for our facilitated conversation on our experiences with growth in Bend. Supper included. Bend is growing. With growth comes both challenge and benefit. From housing and traffic to cultural opportunities and a more diverse community, growth is a topic worth exploring. During the conversation we will explore the expectations and realities of our growing community. Our purpose will be to learn from the variety of perspectives we hold on this issue, while practicing listening to understand other points of view. Through sharing, listening, accepting our discomfort, and exploring together, we hope to build our wisdom and stronger community connections. Community Conversations believes that conversations matter. Every quarter Community Conversations hosts a supper event for community members of all backgrounds to share stories and discuss issues that matter. These events foster trust and the generation of ideas that break down the silos that are dividing communities across the country. When we talk, we feel more invested. And when we feel more invested, we're more likely to get involved. All of our supper conversations stem from a strong commitment to curiosity, compassion, and community.
