Steve Stenkamp gives a brief history of ski areas lost to history.

Explore the history of organized ski hill/areas in Oregon that are no longer, including places like the Little Alps, Tomahawk Ski Bowl, High Desert, Taft Mountain. During the presentation Stenkamp will highlight a collection of more than 30 forgotten ski hills.

Steve Stenkamp is retired from Bend Fire Department. He's a former high school teacher, former city councilor and former mayor of Bend. A skier for over 50 years, Steve is an avid outdoor wanderer and amateur archaeologist-history buff.
