Learn how to make a Skinny Margarita, Boulevardier and Sangria from Aisha Ali, Event Director at Twist Cocktail Catering Co. Skinny MargaritaAlcohol needed: Silver/Blanco Tequila Ingredients:1.5 oz silver tequila 1.5 oz fresh lime juice .5 oz freshly-squeezed orange juice .5 oz agave nectar Club soda Ice Preparation: Fill your glass with ice. Pour ice into cocktail shaker. Add tequila, lime juice, agave, orange juice and shake. Pour entire contents of shaker into glass (including ice). Top with club soda. Garnish with a lime slice. Served: On the rocks Standard garnish: Lime slice Drinkware: Old Fashioned glass or margarita glass BoulevardierAlcohol needed: Campari, Sweet Red Vermouth, Rye Whiskey or Bourbon Ingredients: 1 oz Campari 1 oz sweet red vermouth 1.5 oz rye whisky or bourbon Orange (peel only) Ice Preparation: Add ice to cocktail shaker. Pour all ingredients into cocktail shaker. Stir with spoon for 30 seconds. Add ice to glass. Strain cocktail into glass, garnish with an orange peel. Served: On the rocks Standard garnish: Orange peel Drinkware: Old Fashioned glass Red SangriaAlcohol needed: Pinot Noir Ingredients: 1 bottle of Pinot Noir 1 large orange 1 cup thinly sliced seasonal fruit (such as a mix of apple, pear, strawberries and peaches) 1 small lemon, sliced into thin rounds ˝ cup brandy 1 to 2 tablespoons maple syrup, to taste Ice Preparation: Slice the orange in half and squeeze the juice of one-half of the orange into a pitcher. Thinly slice the remaining orange half and place the slices into the pitcher. Slice the fruit into bite-sized pieces and add to pitcher. Add lemon slices, brandy and 1 tablespoon of the maple syrup. Pour the wine into the pitcher and stir to combine. Taste, and add another tablespoon of maple syrup if you want a sweeter cocktail. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for 2 to 8 hours. Serve in wine glasses with a few ice cubes to keep it chilled. Enjoy!
